Burlesque! Sideshow! Vaudeville! The Anachronism NYC offers a performance roster as diverse as our attendees.
First, our costume/garb/gear contest!
And then, our entertainers and interaction:
Voltaire
As a musician, he is a songwriter whose music can best be described as a collection of murder ballads, tongue-in-cheek exercises in the macabre, with just enough bawdy songs about Star Trek and Star Wars to keep a Con audience rolling in the aisles. Many know him for his song “Brains!” from the Cartoon Network show “The Grim Adventures of Billy And Mandy”.

Psyche Corporation
Psyche Corporation combines art, fashion, dance, and science within the framework of an imagined technomythological world. The name itself describes a futuristic dream manufacture group which allows people to jack their nerve endings directly into the internet and download dreams. As a performance group, Psyche Corporation has at various times incorporated robot exhibitions, steel origami cranes, contortion, corsets, flashlights, and old radios. The music spans genres; a recent song has mixed tribal singing with classical piano while embedding the DNA of deadly polio virus into its percussion.

Unwoman
Unwoman (aka Erica Mulkey) is a San Francisco-based cellist-singer-songwriter. Layered with skillful cello, rich vocals, and electronically arranged beats, her solo music is a futuristic homage to her classical training. Unwoman performs often in the Bay Area and has been featured at major steampunk, goth, and sci-fi-related events all over North America – and we are pleased to host her first appearance ever in NYC!
